Bitpanda Login Verification | Bitpanda KYC 2FA | Bitpanda Identity

Bitpanda requires identity verification before you can deposit, trade or withdraw. Here is exactly what to upload, how long it takes and what to do if verification fails.

Verify through your account

Start verification after signing in at account.bitpanda.com. Never upload ID documents to third-party sites or email attachments from unknown senders.

Complete KYC verification — step by step

Identity verification is required once per account. Follow these steps after your registration is complete.

  1. 1

Sign in to your Bitpanda account

Complete the Bitpanda login with your email, password and 2FA.
  2. 2

    Open the verification section

Navigate to account settings and select identity verification or follow the prompt on your dashboard.
  3. 3

    Upload a government-issued photo ID

Passport, national ID card or driver's licence — ensure all corners are visible and text is readable.
  4. 4

    Submit proof of address

A recent utility bill, bank statement or official letter dated within the last three months.
  5. 5

    Complete the selfie check

Take a live selfie so Bitpanda can match your face to your ID document.
  6. 6

Wait for review and check status

Most verifications are approved within minutes. You will receive an email when complete.

Accepted documents

Bitpanda accepts standard government-issued documents. Photos must be clear, unedited and show all four corners of the document.

Verification vs 2FA

KYC verification confirms who you are — it is a one-time (or periodic) compliance check. Two-factor authentication confirms it is you signing in each time. Both are required for a fully protected Bitpanda account. See Security for 2FA setup.

Speed up approval

Use a well-lit room, lay documents flat on a contrasting surface, and avoid glare or shadows. Blurry photos are the most common rejection reason.

Verification failed or pending?

Check your account dashboard for the rejection reason. Common fixes: re-upload with better photo quality, use a different accepted document type, or ensure your proof of address is recent enough. If verification stays pending beyond 48 hours, contact Bitpanda support.

Check the rejection reason in your account, re-upload clearer photos with all corners visible, and ensure documents are not expired. Contact support if issues persist.
